As the centralized Jewish agency for special needs in the Twin Cities, Sha’arim + Gateways is at the forefront of innovation and expansion when it comes to meeting the needs community members with disabilities. Committed to supporting our participants throughout the lifecycle and providing them same, inclusive experiences afforded to their peers, we have continued to diversify our programs by launching the Gateways Vocational Training Program. Gateways Vocational Training offers adult trainees vocational and life skills training and the opportunity to engage in a meaningful and appropriately supported vocational environment.
Through our vocational training track, trainees will learn important life and job skills and explore their personal interests and talents. Once they have completed training, graduates have the option to apply for a position at their training site, or take their certificate out into the community*!
*Gateways Vocational Training, under the auspices of Sha’arim, is a vocational training site. All participation is voluntary and for training purposes. Upon graduation, graduates may apply for a paid position in Gateways Thrift Shop.
