Vocational Training/ Thrift Shop

Did you know that Gateways Thrift Shop is celebrating it’s 2nd Anniversary on November 24? 

There is always something new to see when you enter the shop. We have weekly sales announced via email and our Instagram account and we always have new inventory because of the generous donations we receive and the hard work of trainees and volunteers at our Donation Center. 

Gateways Thrift Shop is just one part of the Sha’arim Vocational Training Program. What you see in the store is the product of the vocational training that takes place at our donation center in Hopkins. This year, we continue to partner with the Transitions Plus program and are pleased to announce that we now also partner with West Education Center, a school in Intermediate District 287, in their career exploration and employability skills program for transition students aged 19-21.  There are so many opportunities to learn both social and vocational skills at the donation center and we have fun at the same time!
