Thrift Shop Mid-Winter Update
Since our last post back in September we have collected so many new donations at our donation center. We are so grateful for all donations that come in almost daily. Donations we do not use we recycle to local men, women, and ready for success shelters in the area. We also donate to surrounding areas who have endured climate disasters like the devastating fires in Californian this past fall. The interns are glad to see we don’t contribute to the crowded landfills in the area and instead help our planet by being environmentally conscious. Our Pop Up Sale at the end of October was a great start and we plan to have another one on March 31st SAVE THE DATE!
We featured our thrift shop video at our Annual Auction in December and it was a real success. Be sure to check it out on the Thrift Shop page of this website and click video. You will also have a chance to meet our interns.
We have 5 new interns starting in February to add to our original dynamic group of 4! We are very excited to see our team grow and develop social and work life skills at the same time.
We continue to search for our retail space, that one space that meets our criteria of location, location, location. If anyone out there can make a suggestion we are all ears. Our donation center is a happening place and every day brings something new and exciting. We will continue to keep you posted!
