As the centralized Jewish agency for special needs in the Twin Cities, Sha’arim is at the forefront of innovation and expansion when it comes to meeting the needs our participants. Committed to supporting our participants throughout the lifecycle and providing them same, inclusive experiences afforded to their peers, we have continued to diversify our programs by launching our Thrift Shop initiative. The Thrift Shop will offer adult participants vocational and job skills training and the opportunity to engage in meaningful and appropriately supported employment.
Through our vocational training track, trainees will learn the skills they will need as part of an internship with the Thrift Shop. Once they have completed the training, they will be hired as employees by the Thrift Shop and given the chance to use their new skills in a paying job. It’s a one stop shop for vocational skills training and employment!
