As the centralized Jewish agency for special needs in the Twin Cities, Sha’arim is at the forefront of innovation and expansion when it comes to meeting the needs our participants. Committed to supporting our participants throughout the lifecycle and providing them same, inclusive experiences afforded to their peers, we have continued to diversify our programs by launching our Thrift Shop initiative. The Thrift Shop will offer adult participants vocational and job skills training and the opportunity to engage in meaningful and appropriately supported employment.
Through our vocational training track, trainees will learn important life and job skills and explore their personal interests and talents. Once they have completed training, graduates have the option to apply for a position at Gateways Thrift Shop, or take their certificate out into the community*!
The Thrift Store is accepting donations of gently used clothing and household items at:
Cedar/73 Business Park
2851 Hedberg Dr.
Hopkins, MN 55305
Drop off daily anytime. If arriving 9:30-12:30 there is assistance with your donation drop off. All other times leave in donation bin at the loading dock.
*Gateways Vocational Training, under the auspices of Sha’arim, is a vocational training site. All participation is voluntary and for training purposes. Upon graduation, graduates may apply for a paid position in Gateways Thrift Shop.
